Teeth Whitening Tray
A teeth whitening tray is
part of the teeth whitening systems being sold. The tray is plastic and there
are two trays in the package, one for the top and one for the bottom teeth.
Each tray can be cut to fit into the mouth. The cut trays are boiled and
while still slightly warm are inserted into the mouth to allow to cool and
then making a firm cover for the top and bottom teeth. The trays are filled
with whitening gel which are then inserted into the mouth and allowed to
bleach the teeth for about 15 minutes. Of course, there are other directions
which are to be followed in rinsing and caring for the teeth trays.
What You Need
to Know about The Teeth Whitening Tray
For the most part these
trays are useful in staying in the mouth but there are some exceptions. Those
people who are extremely sensitive to foreign objects in their mouth might
have to get adjusted to the tray having to stay in place for 15 minutes.
Actually, if you have had problems when visiting your doctor with gagging
when he inserted metal objects or used cotton balls, you might have to g
radually increase the amount of time you can tolerate having a plastic tray
full of gel in your mouth.
But, you will have to
arrive at 15 minutes if you want the whitening tooth process to actually
work. Another problem that might interfere with your teeth whitening tray
performing as intended is if you salivate excessively. There is little that
you an do to stop yourself from salivating when a foreign object with gel
is inserted in your mouth. A useful trick though is to drink a full glass
of water and rinsing out your mouth before inserting the teeth whitening
trays with the gel. For some reason you won't salivate as excessively as
if you inserted your teeth whitening tray into a dry mouth.
Another note of
warning to properly utilize your teeth whitening tray is to really let
them boil until they become limp. You can let them cool down before
inserting into your mouth and firmly stamping the imprints of your teeth
on the teeth whitening trays. If you don't let the teeth whitening trays
boil until limp, you will actually not get as firm a fit as you need for
the gel to properly spread on your teeth for an even whitening process.
These trays are easily cleaned and some kits come with little plastic
boxes for clean storage.
